BLOORVIEW KIDS REHAB
The new $101-million facility brings together state-of-the-art technology with an imagination-inspiring design. Bloorview Kids Rehab is located at 150 Kilgour Road in Toronto. Not only does the design far surpass the requirements of the Ontario Building Code, the design incorporates such things as oversized elevators with two-sided access, wide hallways, appropriate floor finishes, textures, colours and lighting. Drawing on the natural beauty and restorative nature of the neighbouring ravine, this is a place where children can explore, interact, and learn in an exhilarating environment.
Services provided by CFMS:
- Verification of DDC system and BAS
- Performance testing of HVAC systems
- Co-ordination of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems training
- Preparation and presentation of systems operating manual
- Seasonal performance testing of HVAC systems
HVAC systems include for:
- Central chilled water plant (1000 tons cooling) serving year-round AHU cooling coils & fan coil units
- 24/7 chilled water plant (40 tons cooling) serving critical telecommunication/computer rooms & walk-in fridges/freezers
- Central heating plant (3, 9000 Mbh dual fuel/forced-draft boilers) for year-round space heating & pool heating
- Custom AHUs with SF & RF VSDs, heat recovery (on 100% OA applications) & steam humidification
- Over 500 CAV boxes with reheat coils & over 50 miscellaneous exhaust systems
- Glycol systems for ramp heating and AHU pre-heat coils
- Packaged pure steam boiler system (utilizing pre-treated make-up water) for AHU humidification grids
- Emergency diesel generators with storage tank/day tank fuel oil pumping system
- Condenser water pre-heat loops for swimming & therapy pool water heating
