Cornell Community Centre and Library
This multi-level 153,600-square-feet building includes a 8 lane, 25 meter lap pool, therapy pool, leisure pool, public resource library, rehearsal hall and triple gymnasium. Primary heating & cooling water is provided by Markham District Energy (MDE), utilizing plate-type heat exchangers. Emergency power (575V) is also provided by MDE.
The design for mechanical & electrical systems (as well as building structure) is based on the project pursuing LEED® Silver Certification.
