Innisfil Recreation Complex & YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka
This 140,000 sf project was a joint venture between the Town of Innisfil and the YMCA of Simcoe-Muskoka. Located on 85 acres, includes two arenas, change rooms, fitness pool, leisure pool, fitness studio, indoor running track, multi-purpose room, child minding and administrative offices. Outdoors there are 4 soccer fields, 4 baseball diamonds, running trails and a nature walk.
Mechanical systems include a hot water heating plant, constant volume AHU with heat reclaim, DX cooling and hot water heating, 100% MUA unit for space ventilation, heat pumps for individual space heating and cooling, and a refrigeration plant and dessicant unit serving the ice rinks. CFMS was the commissioning consultant engaged to assist the design team to achieve the Best Practise credit, EAc3 toward LEED certification.
Our services included:
- Review of the contract documents.
- Development of the commissioning plan.
- Verification of DDC system and BAS.
- 100% performance testing of HVAC systems.
- Co-ordination of mechanical equipment and systems training, including video-recording.
- Preparation and presentation of systems re-commissioning manual.
- Seasonal performance testing of HVAC systems.
