Canoe Landing Construction Wrapping Up!
Some good news! Construction is wrapping up at Canoe Landing Centre! Sadly, there won't be a grand opening for awhile due to COVID-19, but at least when restrictions loosen up, a brand new community and childcare centre will be ready for the eager community!
The schools portion (one TDSB and one TCDSB) opening in January 2020.
CFMS' Jurij Dziuba was the Cx Project Manager, and had this to say about the project:
“Being involved in the Canoe Landing Centre has been a great experience. The building has come together beautifully and includes many wonderful architectural features. The whole idea of bringing the community together with this one much needed building is resonant in all the spaces, which include: community centre, daycare, public and catholic schools. It will be a memorable building to see off the Gardiner Expressway every time I drive to the downtown core.”
Our commissioning process is far from over though, as we will still have post-occupancy commissioning to do.
