Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (EFTO) Announces LEED Platinum for Toronto Headquarters

CFMS was once again pleased to hear the announcement of another project we were part of achieving their goal for LEED Certification. EFTO published this week that the Toronto Headquarters were successful in being awarded LEED Platinum Certification - the highest level of LEED Certification.

The four storey building located in downtown Toronto paves the way for more office buildings to pursue LEED Certification.  One of the unique features of this project is  Geothermal heating and cooling - which isn't new itself, but was a Canadian first for using new technology to drill down after construction was underway.  This means more buildings can look at retrofits utilizing Geothermal heating and cooling, and speeds up construction times previously required for Geothermal applications.

Read more about it and take some visual tours with the link to the EFTO website below...

Thank you to our teachers, who continue to lead by example by undertaking a project that would set a new office standard for Green Buildings.  And well done to the whole team from planning to post-construction, who made the vision a reality.
