This week, the new Whitby Sports Complex was featured in Global News online, having achieved an important milestone: "An exciting milestone for the Town of Whitby, Ont., has been reached, after council approved the process to design and construct the new Whitby Sports Complex."
We are excited to see the project moving ahead! We are part of the team for this project, providing commissioning for the sports complex, which will include an aquatic centre, a double gymnasium with an indoor walking track, and a twin-pad arena with 85-foot by 190-foot ice pads, among other amentities. Environmental sustainability initiatives will be explored for this new facility, including LEED Gold and Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) certifications.The target opening date is slated for 2025.
