A Change of Seasons and Ending of Another Year

If you are like me, back to school time and the shift from summer to fall always reminds me that another year is coming to an end.  While we’ve been treated to an unseasonably warm September, I know the good times won’t last much longer!  And since we are getting ready to hunker down for winter and the coming new year, it seems like a good time to reflect on 2018 so far.

We’ve had some pretty exciting projects open up for the 2018/19 school year, such as:

  • Durham College – Centre for Collaborative Eduction
  • Georgian College – Advanced Technology, Innovation, and Research Centre
  • York University – New Student Centre
  • Jacinta Marto Catholic Elementary School – Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board

Some of the interested projects we’ve started working on this year are:

  • OCAD University – Creative City Campus
  • University of Toronto School Redevelopment
  • Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital

Recent noteworthy additions to our projects list include:

  • University of Toronto MSB Chiller Plant Optimization
  • Block 31 Community Centre (Railway Lands/Canoe Landing)
  • Canadian Canoe Museum

Like the seasons, our work has cycles too, and so while some things are winding down, new things are starting up.  It’s always a great feeling when a project finishes up, knowing that our commissioning process made a difference to help keep the project on budget and schedule.  New projects always provide new challenges and learning opportunities for the CFMS team, keeping us sharp and experts in our field.

Fall is considered the shoulder season – when we do a lot of testing and preparation for the heating system requirements that are around the corner.  You can learn more about that from a previous CFMS blog by CFMS President Wendy Collins HERE.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to learn more about Commissioning and the benefits it can bring you/your building/your upcoming project.
