This month marks the 10th anniversary for Allan (or AJ, as he’s better known) Hearn! It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since he arrived straight from St. John’s, Newfoundland, to Toronto, and started working the large span of Southern Ontario CFMS services. It must have been quite the transition!
10 years later, he’s obviously taken it in stride, and has settled in comfortably. He’s moved from Toronto to Keswick, and has a family, and has learned and grown much in his time at CFMS. He’s know as the social joker, both in the office and out in the field. If you follow our Instagram (if you don’t, you should: ‘cfmsconsultinginc’) you will notice AJ’s pictures have an artistic flair. He most recently achieved his ASHRAE BCxP certification.
Here’s what AJ has to say about his 10th anniversary:
“During my time at CFMS, I’ve discovered that what I’ve learned over the last decade has vastly outpaced what I knew coming in. As this was only the second job I took after finishing University, my experience in the field of commissioning was limited to say the least. Managing a project seemed overwhelming, performance testing major mechanical equipment sounded daunting and overseeing training sessions felt more like attending them. Fast-forward 10 years, and all these things are common place. I would like to thank CFMS and the people that make it up for the training, work experience and welcoming atmosphere that has been a standard in this office since I have arrived, and look forward to the next 10 years! “
CFMS is fortunate to have long term employees like AJ who grow with us and the industry over time, becoming valuable members of the team. We wish AJ all the best on his 10th anniversary!
