I recently had the opportunity to attend the Spring Open, put on by the CaGBC Toronto Chapter. The event is the first social gathering of the year and a networking opportunity for like-minded individuals who are looking to design and build ‘green’ buildings. It was held at the Steam Whistle Roundhouse and one of the highlights of the event was a ‘Building Blitz’, where presenters were given 2 minutes to showcase a LEED certified building they were involved with.
It was great to see a couple of projects that CFMS was also involved in being showcased by the presenters:
– Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place – LEED NC Silver certified building
CFMS provided both fundamental commissioning (EAp1) and enhanced commissioning (EAc3) services.
– Waterpark Place (10 & 20 Bay Street) – LEED EB O+M Gold certified building
CFMS provided Energy Efficiency Best Management Practices (EAp1), Investigation and Analysis (EAc2.1) and Implementation (EAc2.3).
CFMS has been involved with the commissioning of many buildings and facilities including numerous LEED certified projects. We have provided commissioning services for LEED New Construction (NC), Commercial Interior (CI), Core and Shell (CS) and Existing Building (EB). To see a list of other LEED projects we have provided commissioning services for, take a look at a recent blog post here.
Overall, the CaGBC Toronto Chapter Spring Open was a great event, and definitely a great place to network. I am certainly looking forward to attending the next event.
