Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital Officially Opens as COVID-19 Dedicated Hospital
You may have noticed that the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital has been in the news a lot lately, as announcements came out last month about it not only opening early, but also pivoting to dedicate the services to helping combat the strain on Ontario Hospitals overwhelmed by COVID-19 patients. The $1.7 billion dollar hospital welcomed the first patients on Sunday February 7, focusing on 35 ICU beds and 150 general internal medicine beds, while other services like the Emergency Department and Maternity Ward openings will be put on hold.
