Orillia MURF Wins a 2016 Brownie Award

The Orillia Multi-Use Recreation Facility has won the Category 4:  REBUILD - Redevelopment at the Local, Site Scale Brownie Award.  The awards presented by the Canadian Brownfields Network (CBN), together with Actual Media (publishers of ReNew Canada and Water Canada magazines) recognize leadership, innovation and environmental sustainability in brownfields redevelopment across Canada.  You can read more about the CBN here and the Brownie Awards here.

The Orillia MURF is a 106,000 square foot recreation facility, that includes an aquatic centre (lap pool, leisure pool, and therapy pool), gymnasiums, multi-purpose rooms, a walking/jogging track, preschool room, office space and a fitness centre.  You can read more about it here, and if you are interested in learning the interesting history of the brownfield itself, you can do so here.

Once again CFMS is pleased to be providing commissioning for an award winning project, by MJM Architects!
